Xnoybis is the smallest planet of the Vodyanoi System. It has but a single civilized inhabitant, if such a word can describe the criminal sorcerer Feng Dü. His palace is an enormous, winding complex, where he is served by a legion of metal homunculoi. From there, he lords over a primitive race of subhuman ape-men who worship him as a god king, and who he seems to delight in torturing through endless biological experiments.
The numerous ruins on Xnoybis are believed to be pre-Herpetoid, but the inscrutable machinations of Feng Dü prevent anything but cursory scans.

Holy hell, I want to play in this game!
A lot of coolness in a short space.
For a moment, I wasn't sure whether the Herpetoids were serpent-ish, or some sort of sentient herpes virus--and I wasn't search which was better. ;)

@Trey: High praise from a master of setting design! I'm trying to be more suggestive than encyclopedic in these posts.
Also, perhaps Herpetoids are merely victims of sexually-transmitted serpent-ism. That sounds about right.
Oh, wow. Just checked yer profile - didn't realize earlier that you're here in Portland! Heh, if you do get the saucer warmed up and you're looking for players, I'd love to audition!
